> About BEP
The Wisconsin Business Enterprise Program (BEP) is a
partnership between the Randolph-Sheppard Vendors of Wisconsin (RSVW), the
Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD), their Division of
Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), and the State of Wisconsin. Working along with the federal
government, we assist qualified blind individuals in achieving gainful
self-employment.
Individually, these organizations all play unique roles:
 |
The RSVW is a non-profit organization which provides management
services to the Wisconsin BEP program and its operators under a contract
supervised by DWD/DVR. |
 |
The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) is a federal/state
program designed to obtain, maintain, and improve employment for people
with disabilities by working with VR consumers, employers, and other
partners. |
 |
The Wiscconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) is the state
agency charged with building and strengthening Wisconsin's workforce,
including securing jobs for the disabled. |
Collectively, the BEP operators are the members of this program, and
elect a Committee of Blind Vendors (ECBV). This committee is made up
of current Wisconsin BEP operators elected triennially by their peers, as
well as selected representatives of DWD
